Supported Environments - NT

NOTE: Installing the NPL Release V Windows RunTime on an NT, 2000 or 2003 server using the NPLSecure service requires that all clients use the 32-bit Release V Windows RunTime - no other RunTime will operate.

The use of the NPL Release V Windows RunTime, when installed on Windows NT or Windows 2000, is currently supported on the following 32-bit operating environments:

Supported Standalone Systems

• Microsoft Windows Server 2003
• Microsoft Windows 2000 Server
• Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional
• Microsoft Windows NT Terminal Server
• Microsoft Windows NT 4.0
• Microsoft Windows XP Professional

Supported Network Operating Systems

• Microsoft Windows Server 2003
• Microsoft Windows 2000 Server
• Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0

Supported Workstation Systems

NOTE: At the time of publication it appeared that XP Home Edition does not have the ability to log into an NT / 2000 Server. Therefore XP Home Edition cannot be used with NPLSecure.

NOTE: Microsoft Windows 95 may also work if Microsoft's DCOM95 is installed, but Niakwa cannot guarantee nor support its use.
