Volume 3 No. 11 Community News & Information June 23, 1999 In this Issue: * ARE YOU ON THE NPL LIST?
In July 1997 (!) Niakwa established the NPL List, a list service available to all NPL developers.
Since that time a number of interesting topics have been discussed, such as running NPL across IP only networks, and what databases to support on Unix.
Here's how it works. The NPL List is a many-to-many "push" communication channel conducted via e-mail. Subscribers to the list receive a copy of every message sent to the list. Thus it is an excellent way to access and learn from the collective wisdom of the entire community.
For more information or to subscribe, follow the instructions below, and we'll plug you in. The List Manager will send you a packet of messages, including instructions on how to participate, plus recent postings on various threads.
To Subscribe:
1. Send email to: Majordomo@lists.enteract.com
2. In the body of the email, on the first line, in its own line type: subscribe npl-l <your email address>
3. Please include your Name, Company Name, and Phone Number (as an alternate if we have problems with your email.)
You will receive an acknowledgement from our administrator within a few days.
Once you are a member, you can send a message to the list by sending to:
npl-l@ezekiel.enteract.com
If you seem to be having problems, drop us a note at support@niakwa.com.
We'll look forward to hearing from you on the NPL List!
