Niakwa On-Line News Brief
Volume 4 No. 4 Community News & Information March 13, 2000 In this Issue: * NDM TRAINING OPPORTUNITY! We know it's short notice, but Niakwa is going to sponsor an NDM Training Class at our Libertyville headquarters in about two weeks from now. The dates are March 29 - 31 (Wednesday - Friday.) This 3-day training course will focus specifically on NDM programming concepts and practices, and conversion of your proprietary data formats including Pervasive Btrieve, C-ISAM, plus hands-on use of Open NDM for SQL (currently in Beta). It is geared to the experienced NPL programmer who needs an orientation and hands-on training of our NDM product(s). We will also give you a preview of our Workbench Debugger, and using NDM Visual Utilities from within the Workbench. It will be a "shared cost" training session. The fee will be based upon the number of students. You must bring your own equipment and Release V IDE, as well as software licenses for Windows 95/98 or NT, and SCO UNIX if applicable, and any applicable database and runtime licenses; in other words, a fully set-up system. (See Notes below.) Or you can contact us so that rental arrangements can be made for an extra fee. If you are interested, please contact Cyndee Philyaw or Jason Dederich in the Niakwa Sales Department. They will be happy to discuss any further details and costs with you. Class size is limited so please let us know as soon as possible of your interest. Requirements: NDM For windows, Open NDM for SQL Beta and a working version of any or all of the following databases: Btrieve, Pervasive SQL, Access, SQL Server or Oracle. For Unix, a working version of C-ISAM, linked with a Niakwa RunTime (or at a minimum, the C-ISAM development kit that allows you to do so.)
