Hi,

I have to read Data from a external SQL Database.

Is there a way to (not S H E L L) to call a external C  program which retreives my data and returns some value back?

Thanks for a feedback.

Hi Jo,

Open NDM for SQL allows you to access data in popular databases like MS-Access, MS-SQL Server, Oracle, and Pervasive SQL.

NDM for SQL was designed to allow Niakwa programs to store, retrieve, and edit data in SQL Databases.  It was not designed to access data that was created by third party products.  Because of this, most but not all data types available in SQL Databases are available in NDM for SQL.

You didn't mention if you are running in Windows, Unix, or Linux.    Under Linux and SCO Unix we have the option of storing data in PostgreSQL databases too.
